UEFA have set the SPFL a four-week deadline to detail plans on how to end the season. European football's governing body want associations to put forward their plans by Monday, May 25.
The vote on ending the lower league season earlier in April also handed the SPFL power to follow suit with the Premiership, declaring Celtic champions and relegating Hearts.
UEFA still want to top-flight leagues to be played to a finish in order for clubs to qualify for European competition on "sporting merit".
However, with Premiership players unable to return to training until June 10 at the very earliest, finishing the season would present considerable challenges.
