Tyrese Johnson-Fisher was touted as rugby’s next big thing after becoming a viral sensation in a school game aged 15. Now, five years later, he has given up on the game for good to pursue his American Football dream.
Johnson-Fisher, born in London before moving to Dubai aged 10 was handed a scholarship to play rugby and run track, heading to a boarding school in the Midlands called Oakham School.
It was at Oakham where he went viral and landed himself at Leicester Tigers academy before signing his first professional deal with the Bristol Bears last year after a stint playing American Football in the US.
In February, he left the club to again to pursue American Football, last week committing to head to Garden City Community College in Kansas
