Two friends who worked together at same Tesco store died on Thursday when they got into difficulties in a river. According to a pal, Samuel Fernandez, 20, jumped in to try and save his friend Velly Sousa, 24, after he got into trouble in the water in the River Avon in Bath, Somerset.
Coastguards, ambulance and police rushed to Bathampton Bridge in Lower Swainswick and both men were recovered but tragically they were pronounced dead.
Their pal Luvson D'Costa, 29, described them both as "really great guys" and revealed that Velly was engaged to be married later this year.
