Police on patrol in the Higher Folds area made the discoveries, which they claim are evidence of 'a large scale cannabis cultivation operation', following a routine stop and search.After stopping a driver they believed was 'acting suspiciously', a search of the vehicle uncovered a large quantity of cannabis.The man was arrested and police later carried out searches of two properties.Six 'high value' motorbikes, suspected to be stolen, were recovered along with equipment which police say would have been used to cultivate cannabis on an industrial scale.Hazardous chemicals such as methanol and sulphuric acid, also believed to have been used in drug production, were also seized.Several other items, all believed to be stolen or evidence.
