The Scotland international scored a brace inside the opening three minutes at Old Trafford – the first Premier League player to do so.
After scoring just eight goals in his first 100 appearances for the club, McTominay looked every bit the accomplished attacking midfielder.
As part of Sky Sports’ coverage of the game, Gary Neville compared the midfielder to United legends Roy Keane and Paul Scholes for his all-round display.
