Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has confirmed that Scott McTominay suffered a groin injury during the win over Leeds.McTominay scored twice in the opening three minutes as the Red Devils thrashed Marcelo Bielsa’s side at Old Trafford.But it wasn’t a happy ending for the Scotland international as he limped off in the final moments.It means he could miss United’s League Cup quarter-final with Everton on Wednesday, with Solskjaer unsure how long McTominay will be out for.“It seems like a groin issue,” Solskjaer said. “Hopefully it won’t be too long.“He’s not had any muscle injuries before so we don’t know how quickly he will recover.”McTominay has become one of Manchester United’s most physical performers despite his slow start.
