Police were called at around 8.15pm on Thursday, July 23, 2020, to reports of a collision between a car and pedestrian on Ryecroft Street in Ashton-Under-Lyne.
Tragically, the pedestrian was identified as Safiullah Latif Asif, who was left with catastrophic injuries after the crash near to his home.
The eight-year-old boy was rushed to hospital but he sadly died in the following days. Two men have now been charged with causing his death, Greater Manchester Police has confirmed today.
