Both officers had just finished work at HMP Forest Bank in Agecroft, Salford, on July 20th when the attack allegedly happened.
In a statement, Greater Manchester Police said; "Jordan Taylor, 26, and Jack Thompson 26, have both been charged with section 18 assault and criminal damage."
