ITV documentary Manhunt: The Raoul Moat Story is set to air on ITV tonight at 9pm.After killing one person and injuring another, ex-prisoner Moat went on the run for nearly a week.TV presenter and survival techniques expert Ray Mears, 56, revealed in a 2013 BBC interview that he was drafted in by police to help track Moat.The veteran TV host revealed to BBC journalist Chris Jackson that he was "deeply impressed" with how the police handled the pursuit of Moat, despite them facing a barrage of criticism at the time.Mears said when he was deployed by police, his main priority was not to be spotted by the press, as he knew Moat was tuning into radio news bulletins.To ensure for the element of surprise, Mears dressed head-to-toe like the other.
