The dramatic story of the hunt for killer Raoul Moat is to be turned into a film. Details of the ambitious project emerged on the 10th anniversary of his infamous deadly escapade.
Moat, 37, was on the run for seven days before he took his own life in a stand-off with armed police in Rothbury, Northumberland, on July 10, 2010.
He had shot and murdered Chris Brown, 29, the boyfriend of his ex-partner Sam Stobbart, 22, who he shot and wounded in Birtley, Gateshead.
He then shot and blinded PC David Rathband in the early hours of July 4, before he fled and went on the run. Millions watched the ITV documentary Manhunt: The Raoul Moat Story on ITV this week.
