Rampaging gunman Raoul Moat made a chilling phone call to the police that sends shivers down the spine. After being released from Durham Prison on July 1 2010, where he had been held for 18 weeks for assault, 37-year-old Moat went on a horrifying crime spree.
The violent former nightclub bouncer from Newcastle shot and wounded ex-girlfriend Samantha Stobbart, then 22, and killed her new partner Chris Brown, 29.
Moat wrongly believed that Brown, a karate instructor, was a police officer when he fired a sawn off shotgun and took his life.
After killing Brown outside the house in Birtley, Moat shot inside and struck Stobbart in the arm and abdomen, but she survived after life-saving treatment at hospital.
