Tupac recalls 'passing out from police chokehold' in unearthed clip amid BLM protests

Tupac Shakur claimed he once nearly went unconscious from police officers choking him in an interview that has been uncovered in the wake of the global George Floyd protests.

In an unearthed 1991 interview with Davey D, the rapper, also known as 2Pac, recalls his run-in with Oakland Police Department who allegedly almost choked him unconscious for jaywalking and resisting arrest.Davey D urges Tupac to recount what happened, and so the hit-maker explains the infamous incident, which saw him sue the police department for $10million (£7.8m).Tupac, who would have turned 49 next week, says: “For everybody who don’t know, as if it doesn’t happen every day and everywhere, I, an innocent black male, was walking down the street minding my own.
