A police officer who was shot in the head during George Floyd protests in Las Vegas has been left paralysed from the neck down, his family has said.
Shay Mikalonis, 29 - who remains fighting for his life on a ventilator and unable to speak - was shot on June 1 while attempting to disperse demonstrators outside Circus Circus, reports KSNV.
In a statement, released through Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, the officer's family confirmed he has been accepted at a top spine rehabilitation facility.
