It’s time when rumours and fake news are circulating like never before –Twitter has even had to ban people posting fake COVID-19 cures such as drinking bleach and swallowing colloidal silver.
But some myths will never die. A survey collecting Brits’ opinions on some of the most persistent conspiracy theories found that 5.3% of us believe that Tupac Shakur faked his own death and is living somewhere in the US or the Caribbean.
If the 5.3% of Tupac truthers revealed in the survey are definitely representative of beliefs in the nation as a whole, that means something like 2.8 million people in the UK are convinced that the California Love star is still alive.
