Manchester United reportedly offered Sheffield United the chance to re-sign Dean Henderson on loan this summer - indicating David de Gea will remain their No.1 goalkeeper next season.
De Gea, 29, endured a frustrating 2019/20 campaign at Old Trafford, making a number of costly mistakes for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer ’s side.
The Spaniard’s alarming form in between the sticks sparked speculation that Henderson, who spent the year on loan at Bramall Lane, would return to United next season and replace him.
However, Chris Wilder’s side are understood to have turned down the chance to re-sign the 23-year-old on loan, meaning De Gea’s position looks to be safe.
