Trigger Point fans spot odd error after Adrian Lester's character dies in tragic twist

ITV’s new action thriller series Trigger Point have spotted a big plot hole in the latest episode and flocked to Twitter to share their thoughts.The series, starring Vicky McClure, Adrian Lester and Mark Stanley, follows Explosives Officer Lana Washington as she attempts to uncover who is behind multiple terrorist attacks.The six part series is made by the creators of Line Of Duty and last week’s episode saw Joel Nutkins, played by Adrian Lester, blown apart.The storyline began as Joel and Lana were called out to counter-terrorism operation in a London housing estate.

After a tense attempt to diffuse some explosives, Joel was blown up by a van full of bombs.The final shots of the episode showed Lana, played by Vicky McClure, finding Joel’s arm in the aftermath of the explosion.The show has been received well so far but some doubtful fans took to Twitter to all share the same observation.One fan questioned: “How long after last week's episode is this taking place?

I'm pretty sure if you’d just seen your partner blown into tiny pieces you wouldn't be back on the job the next day.” Another doubtful Twitter user said: “Imagine being Lana in Trigger Point and seeing your workmate get blown up, then going back to work the next day.”A viewer of the show mentioned they weren’t "sure yet" about the show and said: “Can’t believe she would be back on duty less than 4 days after her mate and 17 others were blown to pieces.”In an interview with GQ magazine, Lester confirmed that his character will not be in the series anymore, aside from the occasional flashback: “I mean, there might be flashbacks to what we’ve already shot, but there won’t be any newly created ones."He continued to explain that he actually accepted the role knowing.
