PEAKY Blinders bosses have kept alive Helen McCrory's Aunt Polly character in the sixth series - but were you able to spot the clues? ITV’s new action thriller series Trigger Point have spotted a big plot hole in the latest episode and flocked to Twitter to share their thoughts.The series, starring Vicky McClure, Adrian Lester and Mark Stanley, follows Explosives Officer Lana Washington as she attempts to uncover who is behind multiple terrorist attacks.The six part series is made by the creators of Line Of Duty and last week’s episode saw Joel Nutkins, played by Adrian Lester, blown apart.The storyline began as Joel and Lana were called out to counter-terrorism operation in a London housing estate.

Line Of Duty’s Vicky McClure heads the cast in this new series, which turns the spotlight on the Metropolitan Police Bomb Disposal Unit. The show is produced by Jed Mercurio – the much-lauded writer of Line Of Duty – so with Vicky in the starring role, comparisons are bound to be drawn between the two dramas. However, the actress tells us her character – former soldier Lana Washington – is very different to Line Of Duty ’s Kate Fleming and the series is far more action packed.
