Tributes to ‘tireless campaigner’ who spent his life fighting for better social housing

Richard Smallman, who was a former board member of Bolton at Home and a director of Bolton’s Affiliation of Tenants and Residents Associations (BATRA), died from cancer on September 3 at the age of 65.

Mr Smallman, who lived in a Bolton at Home property on Towers Avenue, Deane, devoted much of his life to fighting for better social housing.
