Tributes paid after popular Ayr High Street busker Michael Hynes passes away

Tributes have been paid to the famous Busker of Ayr High Street, Michael Hynes, who sadly passed away today.Renowned for keeping shoppers and tourists entertained with his well known repertoire, he became a staple of the town down the years.Taking up position all over the town centre, he was often to be found at the mouth of Nile Court or serenading shoppers outside Iceland and Wilkos.Songs like "Brown Eyed Girl," "Here Comes The Sun" and "Caledonia" became synonymous with his rasping voice and guitar to those spending their days in the town.And he even had a crack at telly fame when auditioning for the X Factor back in 2014.Tributes have been pouring in tonight on social media following news of his death from cancer.Pamela Ireland posted:
