Ayrshire community stalwart who brought positive vibes to her town after losing her battle with cancer.Tricia Young died from secondary breast cancer in the Ayrshire Hospice on Tuesday night, aged 55 – just six months after being told her illness was terminal.Almost two years on from being given the all clear for breast cancer first diagnosed in 2015, doctors told the mum-of-one that the cancer had spread to her brain after she suffered a fall at home.The creator of Facebook group Positive Prestwick – which shone a light on the Ayrshire town – was best known for her wicked sense of humour and passion for where she was from, as well as her famous dachshund Peanut.Her sad death comes after the town rallied around their sausage dog ‘mascot’ to.
