The shop on Old Market Street in Blackley was targeted by thieves at around 5am this morning (Monday). A white transit van was driven into a side window at the shop, police said. ‘Significant damage’ was caused and the Manchester Evening News understands the shop will remain closed today.
A van has been recovered nearby and detectives have sent it for forensic testing. No arrests have been made and enquiries are ongoing.
