Bearsden, near Glasgow, just days before Christmas, is to be held when Covid-19 restrictions allow. Ewan, a well-known figure in the Scottish music industry, was hailed for efforts to “put Scotland on the map” for its music following his sudden death on December 17.
His family announced details of a private funeral service to be held on Tuesday, but said a fitting tribute would later be held after an “outpouring” of support for the star - who once helped launch a hit radio venture backed by Rangers legend Ally McCoist.
Sharing the plans in a Facebook post, Ewan’s sister Christine Macleod said: “Thank you all for your kind messages at this difficult time.“There has been an outpouring from many of his friends in the musing industry and beyond.
