Tom Hanks has revealed that both he and his wife Rita Wilson have tested positive for COVID-19 — more commonly known as coronavirus.The 63 year old actor, who is known for his roles in movies such as Big, Forrest Gump and the Toy Story series, took to Twitter to share the news with his 16.1million followers.
Coronavirus is a flu-like bug that is spread by coughing and sneezing, which people can take in through their nose, mouth and eyes.
On Wednesday, the World Health Organisation labelled the virus as a pandemic, meaning it has spread across the world.To date, it has claimed 4,633 lives — including eight in the UK.
