Tom Brady asks favour off Elon Musk if Tesla chief secures Twitter takeover

Tom Brady took to social media to ask for a special request from the world’s richest man Elon Musk if the mogul successfully purchases Twitter.Musk has a staggering net worth of approximately £200 billion, and he is looking to become the sole owner of the mammoth social media network after originally becoming a shareholder in April.

He became the largest shareholder in the company as he bought a 9.2% stake.On April 4, Musk agreed a deal that would see him appointed to Twitter’s board of directors while also stopping him from acquiring more than 14.9% of the company - but Musk decided not to join the board before his appointment was confirmed.

The 50-year-old made a $43b offer to buy Twitter and become the sole owner, revealing plans to make the company private.Musk has previously spoken of his desire to bring freedom of speech back to the heavily-censored platform, and NFL star Brady has become aware of the South African’s dealings.

In fact, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback already has a favour to ask of Musk.Brady tagged Musk in the tweet along with the message: “If you buy Twitter, can you delete the combine photo?”Unsurprisingly, Brady didn’t post the infamous photo he is referring to, and the image - which was taken over 22 years ago - went viral once again.
