moggie was scooped up by firefighters in California after they found her in the middle of a road near a raging wildfire last week.

She was handed in to the North Valley Animal Disaster Group where she was given a delicate bath after she was rescued while “covered in smoke and ash”.

There is a happy end to the tale as the cat is now getting top level care from dedicated animal experts – and she has a pick of owners who are lined up to adopt her.

The Mirror reports the kitten was christened “baby Yoda” due to the fact her ears stick straight out on either side of her head.
