Musician Tim Smith has died aged 59.Smith was famously the frontman to Brit rock band Cardiacs, which he created with his brother James "Jim" A Smith.
The singer had difficulty with his speech and movement in his final years, after suffering a devastating heart attack in 2008.
Born in Surrey, Smith ignited his passion for music while still in school, forming a nameless psychedelic instrumental band with his friends.
In 1977, he formed Cardiacs, using synthesizer and drums to create rock music with a unique and varied style.Making music together until the mid-noughties, the group released eight studio albums plus a number of live albums, compilation albums and singles.
