Sex robots which makers say are capable of holding conversations have gone on sale in their thousands. But the devices will not come cheap, with a £12,000 price tag for those looking for a mechanical lover.
The silicone dolls, which are designed to look like "surgically-enhanced porn stars", were manufactured by California-based company RealDoll.
The robots use Artificial Intelligence (AI) to give them a "personality" - complete with different moods. And company owner Matt McMullen said some of the dolls are given British accents as Brits "sound clever".
