A Salford road is set to be resurfaced with new speed bumps, traffic signs and street lighting to be installed by Christmas.The work on Madams Wood Road in Little Hulton, which will involve road closures, is due to get underway by October and will take around two months.
Bollards and chicanes currently on the road will be removed and there will be a 20mph limit put in place along the carriageway and other surrounding roads.The project is part of the Salford Bolton Network Improvement programme which aims to benefit more than 100,000 residents living in the area.This scheme in Little Hulton aims to improve public transport facilities, safety and capacity on the road, which is home to Hilton Lane Primary School.It will cost Salford City.
