Wardrobe Whisperer column in the Telegraph Magazine, in which Stephanie, 40, appealed for some help in looking more stylish at the school gates: “I’m still in skinny jeans, which tells you the last time I spent any money on myself.

I used to love fashion, but sadly just don’t have time for it any more. I want a few key pieces that will get me up to date before my eldest starts school, so I can hold my own at the gates,” she wrote.That many women struggle to choose what to wear for the working week is not new, but it’s been amplified by the fact that a lot of us haven’t had to do it for so long.

Grooming for Zoom meant we only needed to do the bare minimum to look acceptable; a pair of earrings and a smart-ish top was enough.
