The current restrictions, which ban people from different households mixing in private dwellings, will be lifted in Wigan from tomorrow (August 26), while households in Oldham have been further banned from meeting up outdoors.The other eight boroughs of Greater Manchester have been told to continue living under the rules introduced by health secretary Matt Hancock on July 31.However, the government has committed to reviewing the restrictions again this week.The next announcement by the Department of Health is expected following a meeting on Thursday (August 27).The Joint Biosecurity Centre (JBC) chaired by Mr Hancock and England’s chief.
