Larges areas of Greater Manchester remain under 'flood alert' warnings tonight after days of heavy rainfall. The Environment Agency has issued urgent advice to the public as a result.
In Salford tonight, there were reports of cars being 'abandoned' close to the waste tip on Lumns Lane in Agecroft due to flooding.
The area around the road was said to be 'gridlocked' as a result. Images from the scene show at least four cars trapped in floodwater.
There have been no reports of any injuries - with flooding also being reported on other local roads across Greater Manchester.
