The popular 5.4 miles walking and cycling route, which passes from Chorlton to Gorton, has had problems with anti-social behaviour and crime.
Manchester city council now propose a series of changes to make it more accessible and a less 'intimidating environment'. The council held a consultation last summer to source opinions on how to improve the route, promoted by Friends of Fallowfield Loop, in which 5,200 residents took part.
