If approved, the buildings will adopt a ‘co-living’ concept, allowing residents to have their own separate living space and bathroom while sharing communal facilities like kitchens and dining areas.The 609 apartments would range from one-bed’s to five-bed’s, while 875 studios are also included in the plans.The concept of co-living has become popular in America and Europe as renters look for flexible living options within city spaces.

It has already been announced that similar co-living spaces were being developed on Echo Street near the gay village. However, a Manchester housing group has expressed concerns on how the co-living development.
