There are plenty of ways to entertain a brood in the garden - here is our guide to the most extravagant buys Gosh. Forty-five days in lockdown feels like an incredibly long time doesn’t it?

Perhaps less so if you’ve taken up a new hobby but for those of us with kids it’s like Groundhog Day. I live just outside London, with my husband and two daughters, toddler Nina and baby Olive.

We’re lucky to have a house with a big garden and plenty of incredible countryside walks on our doorstep, but even so my Nina has been going stir crazy.

Aged three and a half, she’s old enough to understand there are ‘bugs’ which mean she can’t go to ballet, football, soft play (thank God) or see grandparents.
