‘No travel’ warnings have been issued by the UK Foreign Office for 24 countries, which effectively means they are off-limits to UK travellers.
On the list are some expected destinations as well as countries which may come as a surprise. Among the 24 ‘blacklisted’ destinations are: Afghanistan, Belarus, Burkina Faso, Central African Republic, Chad, Haiti, Iran, Iraq, Israel, Lebanon, Libya, Mali, and Niger.
The list also includes: North Korea, Palestinian territories, Russia, Somalia, Somaliland, South Sudan, Sudan, Syria, Ukraine, Venezuela, and Yemen, the Mirror reports.
The UK Foreign Office said in its advisory for Afghanistan that "the security situation is volatile" and travel through the country is extremely dangerous, according to LeedsLive.
