Tesco shoppers' fury after bills are 'automatically' rounded up to the nearest pound

Some Tesco customers have raised concerns over the grocer's new charity scheme, after it emerged many have donated without their consent.

Customers told Mirror Money they've been left disappointed by the chain, despite the scheme being introduced to support crucial charities during the coronavirus crisis.

The initiative allows you to round your spend up to the nearest pound at the checkout, with the additional amount going to one of three charities - Cancer Research UK, the British Heart Foundation and Diabetes UK.

However, some shoppers say they've had their bills rounded up without permission. Long-standing customer Jodie Holtom and her partner Jamie were charged two different prices for the same item at a Tesco pharmacy in Cheltenham
