Fans of the iconic Terry's Chocolate Orange have been left stunned after learning a trick that makes the festive treat easier to eat. Many households likely received the round confectionary in their stockings over Christmas and one person has taken to social media to explain how he enjoys his.
Bashing the treat to help the fragments break is a well-known practice, but the chocolate's packaging also serves a purpose. This has been pointed out by TikTokker Mike Pheonix, who offered a demonstration in a viral clip that's amassed nearly 600,000 views.
Posting under the username @mike_phoenix64, viewers were couldn't believe the video that showed the usefulness of the box's plastic insert. As reported by the Mirror, he captioned the post: "Chocolate orange display." He recorded himself opening the cardboard box and taking out the chocolate orange in its plastic container. But instead of discarding it, like most people probably do, he folded it down on either side to create a handy holder for the chocolate.
He admitted: "I was today years old when I discovered this hack," which makes it much easier to reach the chocolate rather than trying to take it from inside the box.In the comments, people were equally as shocked to find out about this hack, with one person saying they'd been eating the chocolate wrong for half a century.
