Lee Bullen insists Ayr need cool heads to calm the noise around Somerset Park.United’s run of one win in 10 games has left Bullen fighting to turn the tide and wrestle their season back on track.
Defeat against Inverness on Saturday extended the poor run.Ayr now head on the notoriously tough trip to Arbroath this weekend, with Bullen knowing backs are against the wall.
He told the Ayrshire Post: “This is when we need cool and clear heads to prevail. I’ve been through plenty of tough times in football and been on the other side of the table as a player.
This is when you need that clarity of thought to help you through the other side. “I’m harder on myself than anyone when we lose games – I question every little detail of what we did and when, how we approached the game and whether there's anything different I could have done.
