The government’s Test and Trace Support Payment scheme provides a one-off payment of £500 to people on low incomes if they are required to self-isolate.
It’s a vital cog in the strategy to curb Covid-19 as infection rates continue to rise across the country. Back in February the Manchester Evening Newsrevealed that 59% of all applications to the scheme received by Greater Manchester’s 10 councils had been rejected.
