Teletubbies set to return with new reboot coming to Netflix with some changes in store

Netflix.The wide-eyed, fluffy friends have been a familiar faces on British TV screens since 1997 when they originally aired on the BBC.The quartet won’t be alone in the wonderful world of streaming either, as they are joined by a new celebrity – Tituss Burgess.There is a new Sun Baby star as well, as the original baby is all grown up with a baby of her own now.New songs will feature in every episode, with the four Teletubbies navigating the strange new lands of the 21st century.Netflix has confirmed that the Teletubbies will return exclusively to the platform on November 14.In a statement, Netflix said: “The Teletubbies — and new narrator Tituss Burgess — are coming to Netflix on November 14th!”Tituss Burgess is best known for his role in The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt.As the official description states, there will be new original songs and it will follow the quartet “on wonder-filled adventures as they learn and grow in this 21st century refresh of the beloved preschool series.”The “Tummy Tales” songs are meant to “have the entire family dancing along” across each of the 26 12-minute-long episodes, which sounds more like a warning for parents.The most important question remains unanswered though, where is the sentient hoover Noo-Noo?The original Teletubbies show ran from 1997 to 2001 on the BBC and was created by Anne Wood and Andrew Davenport for the BBC.The show was not only a major success in the UK, but it proved a popular export, gaining fame around the world, including the US.It won multiple BAFTA awards and the show’s original theme song even became number one in the UK Singles Chart in 1997.Despite ending in 2001, it wasn’t the end for the quartet, as before Netflix got hold of the brand, there was a reboot in.
