A teenage boy has been arrested and charged in connection with the assault of a woman in Clydebank. The 26-year-old was rushed to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow with serious injuries following the incident shortly after midnight on Sunday, December 12.
We told how a major police investigation was launched to catch "five culprits" following the attack. Officers asked anyone who was at Hawthorn Street in the town to get in touch.Cops have confirmed a 17-year-old male has now been arrested and charged in connection with the assault.He is due to appear at Dumbarton Sheriff Court at a later date.Enquiries into the incident remain ongoing.Detectives from Clydebank CID are continuing to appeal to any witnesses to come forward.
