The British Olympic Association has told Team GB athletes to stop training for the Games if they think their health is at risk.
Team GB wrote to its competitors last week telling them to keep preparing for Tokyo 2020 as normal - because there were no plans to postpone the event this summer.
International Olympic Committee president Thomas Bach insists the Games will still go ahead - despite the coronavirus crisis wrecking the sporting calendar.
But qualification events have been postponed following Government advice, while a host of athletes have been forced to abandon their training programmes and self-isolate at home.
