The Sims, is reportedly in production.The film adaptation is set to be produced by LuckyChap Entertainment, with principals Margot Robbie, Tom Ackerley and Josey McNamara to produce alongside Vertigo Entertainment.The screenplay is set to be co-written by Briony Redman and the film’s director, Kate Herron, best known for directing the first season of Loki.The game’s publisher, Electronic Arts, is also set to have some involvement in the creation and production of the feature film.The Sims is a life simulation video game, in which the player controls an avatar, making them work, build houses, develop relationships, skills and personality traits.The first version of the game was released in 2002, and within two years had sold more than 6.3million copies world wide.Several expansion packs and sequel games later, the franchise has sold nearly 200million copies world-wide, becoming one of the best-selling video games of all time.

Paradox has revealed that Life By You will not feature deaths by illness or other “unfortunate means”.Set to launch in Early Access on September 12, Life By You will see strategy titan Paradox Interactive take on The Sims with its own life simulator.However, while sickness is a feature in EA‘s Sims series, Paradox didn’t want Life By You players to lose their characters due to illness.Speaking to GLHF, Paradox Tectonic head Rod Humble – ex-producer for The Sims – revealed that illness or “unfortunate means” will not be able to kill characters in Life By You.“We actually removed all of that due to COVID,” shared Humble. “So we had the idea of sickness and death by unfortunate means, but it just didn’t really sit right.

NME 100 artist Eli Smart has covered his 2022 single ‘See Through’ for The Sims 4, replacing all of its lyrics with the game’s fictional Simlish language.The Simlish version of ‘See Through’ was introduced with The Sims 4‘s latest expansion pack, Growing Together. The Sims, after three copies of the game auspiciously appeared at the scene of an arrest alongside Nazi paraphernalia.Yesterday (April 25), the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation reported that six people have been arrested in regards to an assassination plot. The Sims 4, has gone live this week and today (November 3) marks the addition of the first time-limited mode.Too Many Toddlers runs from November 3 to November 6, according to a developer press release (thanks, PCGamesN), but if you start the scenario before November 6, you can still finish it afterwards.According to a Sims community website, this time-limited scenario will see your Sim figuring out how to give toddlers attention and care, with the requirements for the challenge being three toddler Sims, and one Sim who’s a young adult or older.
