Slipknot‘s very first tribal ‘S’ design that was designed by the late Joey Jordison has been shared by his family.The tribal symbol was designed by Jordison – the legendary metal band’s original drummer – who also contributed to the creation of the band’s name back in 1995. The logo has remained a big part of the Slipknot identity since then.In an Instagram post shared by the late drummer’s family, the original tribal ‘S’ design is seen drawn on a wooden desk. “The first tribal ‘S’ drawn by Joey on the desk that was handed down to him by his dad,” read the caption of the post.

Slipknot‘s mystery new member ‘Samples’ has spoken for the first time in a new interview.‘Samples’, who replaced long-time keyboardist Craig Jones after his departure in June last year, has yet to have his identity confirmed by the band. ‘Samples’ can currently be identified by the black cracks over his mask and his mouth that is literally zipped shut.Now, fans can hear his voice for the first time in a new promotional interview the band did with video game Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance.

Deftones are the most popular metal band to listen to during sex, according to a new study.The study was carried out by ZipHealth, which surveyed over 1,000 Americans to find out what listening habits they may have in the bedroom. Overall, it was found that 47 per cent of respondents said that they regularly listen to music during sex, and metal band Deftones were found to be one of the most popular choices.In addition to asking people as part of a survey, ZipHealth also analysed playlists across Spotify which contained the words “sex”, having sex”, “making love”, “freaky”, “BDSM” and “unprotected sex” in the title.While the findings showed that it was largely hip-hop and rap that dominated the most popular choices, the Chino Moreno-led band were placed in the Number Three spot overall, just behind The Weeknd, who topped the list, and Kanye West, who came in at second place.In fact, Deftones were the only band from a hard rock or metal category to be featured in the Top 10 overall acts.

Slipknot have announced their European live shows slated to take place next summer.The masked icons shared that they will be headlining the 2025 editions of the Rock Am Ring and Rock Im Park festival. The two German festivals are set to take place in Nürburg and Nuremberg, respectively, between June 6 – 8 2025. Since then, Casagrande has opened up about the “complicated” choice he had to make in leaving Brazilian metal legends Sepultura to join Slipknot.Now, Jim Root has revealed the band’s auditioning process with Casagrande and how he was confirmed into the band. In a new interview with Tone-Talk, Root shared how the band first connected with Casagrande, and new material with their newest member.Root started by saying that the band had recently played two shows to “introduce our new drummer to the world”, before going on to briefly mention their secret show in Pioneertown and their headlining slot at Sick New World.

This led to heavy speculation that he would be joining Slipknot following the firing of Jay Weinberg late last year.Casagrande recently gave an interview to Brazil’s Veja Sao Paulo which was translated from his native Portuguese by fans on Reddit.He revealed that he asked about playing in both bands but had to leave Sepultura after being told he would have to be exclusive to Slipknot.“They asked me to record and send them some videos from right here in Brazil,” he said.
