Elden Ring creator Hidetaka Miyazaki has revealed that he’s been looking at Escape From Tarkov for inspiration.Elden Ring currently has a variety of multiplayer game modes but in a new interview with IGN, Miyazaki has said he’s keeping an eye on titles like Escape From Tarkov.Responding to a question about what new technologies, trends, or ideas in gaming he finds inspiring or exciting right now, Miyazaki said: “I’m not really sure whether this is the latest trend, but the multiplayer elements that in terms of both technology and the game designs, we keep updating [them].”“So I’m really interested in that as one of the fans and one of the creators. Especially speaking of [Escape From] Tarkov, for example.

FromSoftware has announced a major expansion for Elden Ring.The news was shared in a post on the action role-playing game’s official Twitter account this morning (February 28).“Rise, Tarnished, and let us walk a new path together,” it read. “An upcoming expansion for #ELDENRING Shadow Of The Erdtree, is currently in development.

Cyanide Studio has released a statement addressing various issues players have had with the recently released Blood Bowl 3.Blood Bowl 3 was released last week and quickly racked up a “ mostly negative” review rating on Steam. Rainbow Six Siege operator Grim is currently planned for a rework, according to a round table on game balance and onboarding at Ubisoft’s HQ, along with remarks from NME’s interview with Siege’s creative director Alex Karpazis.Grim hasn’t made much of an impact in Rainbow Six Siege since his addition in Operation Brutal Swarm back in August 2022, and comments from the balancing round table have shown that the Siege developers are keen to look at how they can make him more interesting, admitting that while Grim is viable in high-level post-plant situations, but that “this operator needs to be viable at multiple times”Karpazis talks a little bit more about the approach the development team takes to reworks. “First we listen to the community,” said Karpazis.

Ghost Ship Games, the developer behind Deep Rock Galactic, has announced that it will be launching a publishing arm to help “lift up” smaller developers.Titled Ghost Ship Publishing, the new arm of Ghost Ship will serve as a “launchpad for independent video games in the rapidly growing Danish games industry and beyond.”Ghost Ship Publishing will announce some of its upcoming titles on March 2, as part of Deep Rock Galactic‘s fifth anniversary livestream.Ghost Ship explains that the “careful approach to open development and a flexible design philosophy” from the game will be foundational for future games published by the studio.“Becoming a publisher is a way for us to give a bit back to the industry, and to help lift up both the Danish gaming scene and other small developers like ourselves across the globe,” commented Søren Lundgaard, CEO of Ghost Ship Games. “Our goal is to assist fellow developers with funding and marketing expertise, while also helping them establish a solid business.

Mojang has revealed a first look at the sniffer, an “ancient mob” that’s being added to Minecraft in version 1.20.The Minecraft developer shared images of the sniffer in a blog post published yesterday (February 13), where it also outlined how players can get their hands on the mob.Sniffers will arrive in Minecraft as part of the game’s 1.20 update, which is planned to launch at some point in 2023. Players will first encounter them in egg form in suspicious sand, a new block type that will be used in the game’s upcoming archaeology feature.After helping it hatch, snifflets eventually grow into a sniffler, which is “not only huge, but helpful” for sniffing out unique seeds that can be planted for new decorative plants.Mojang has also shared a number of images of the sniffer exploring Minecraft‘s various biomes, which you can check out below.Though an exact release date for sniffers is yet to be confirmed, Mojang says they will be tested in Minecraft‘s creative mode snapshots before they arrive in the full game.Sniffers were the winner of 2022’s mob vote, in which players select a new creature to be added to Minecraft.

What was going to happen [was that] he would get pulled out of Hell, essentially, by Atreus,” Sophos continued, before explaining there “was going to be a big time jump” of 20 years.He added that he doesn’t care about revealing this new information “because it doesn’t happen any more, so this is all fan fiction at this point.”Apparently, Williams was the one who vetoed Kratos’ death in God Of War Ragnarok though.​​“Eric was like, ‘I don’t want to do that, Kratos has died and come back from it too many times’,” Sophos explained.

Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 on PC will be able to preload the game’s campaign mode ahead of this week’s early access phase.Preloading for the campaign begins for PC on October 19 at 6PM BST / 7PM CEST / 10AM PT, meaning players can jump straight into the single-player mode when early access begins.Anyone who has pre-ordered Modern Warfare 2 on PC will be able to pre-load the campaign through Battle.net or Steam, depending on where their copy was purchased for.The campaign’s early access kicks off from October 20 at 6PM BST, meaning players get just over a week to complete the shooter’s single-player story before Modern Warfare 2 launches fully on October 28.Pre-loading for the full game, which will include Modern Warfare 2‘s multiplayer and special ops modes, will begin on October 26 – again at 6PM BST.With just over a week left until the game launches, Infinity Ward has also shared Modern Warfare 2‘s minimum and recommended PC system requirements.
