Amen, has died aged 59.The singer’s death was announced in a statement from Brian Perera, founder of his record label, Cleopatra Records yesterday (December 21).“With heartfelt sadness, I extend my deepest condolences to the family and loved ones of Casey Chaos,” Perera wrote. “I had the privilege of working with Casey during his unforgettable live performance with Christian Death at the American Legion Hall back in 1993.

Black Sabbath footage from their 1976 ‘Technical Ecstacy’ tour has now emerged online available for fans to view.According to Louder Sound, the newly unearthed live film was shot at the iconic metal band’s show at the Selland Arena in Fresno, California on November 9, 1976. The venue held a 10,000 capacity and saw the likes of Bob Segar & The Silver Bullet Band and Boston open for the group.The footage shows a young, fresh-faced Ozzy Osbourne dominating the stage while adorned in what appears to be a navy blue jacket with a long white fringe hanging down across its wingspan.Of the night’s 14-song set, the newly released footage only shows Black Sabbath’s performances of ‘Symptom Of The Universe’, ‘Snowblind’, ‘All Moving Parts (Stand Still)’, ‘War Pigs’, ‘Gypsy’ and ‘Children Of The Grave’ – with the latter song previously available on YouTube for a few years now.The new 1976 ‘Technical Ecstacy’ tour footage also has the company Reelin’ In The Years’ watermark on it throughout the whole video.

Spiritbox have clarified that former Bring Me The Horizon member Jordan Fish did not produce their new album, but said they would “love to” collaborate with him in the future.At the start of this year, Spiritbox guitarist Mike Stringer uploaded a behind-the-scenes image from the studio, appearing to show Fish sitting in front of a mixing desk. He tagged Fish, as well as the Canadian metalcore band’s frontwoman Courtney LaPlante.Naturally, this led fans to believe that Fish was involved with the group’s next full-length project in some capacity.

Slipknot’s Clown has shared an update on the band’s long-awaited ‘lost’ album, ‘Look Outside Your Window’ – confirming that it is now out of his hands and with management for the final steps.The record was recorded by the founding member and percussionist – real name Shawn Crahan – alongside Corey Taylor, Sid Wilson and Jim Root at the same time as they were working on 2008’s ‘All Hope Is Gone’.Hopes of it being shared have gone unfulfilled in recent years and, to date, only one track from the sessions has been released: ‘All Hope Is Gone’ bonus track ‘Til We Die’.Now, Crahan has spoken to NME in a new interview, and confirmed that the release is completely finished and on the cusp of being officially released.Reflecting on comments he made in a separate NME interview in 2023 – in which he assured us the release would be coming this year – the metal icon said: “I did say it was going to be in 2024, and I gave it the best fight that I could to make it this year.”As for where the release is up to now, he added: “What I can tell you is that I showed Corey the final artwork two days ago. It is happening, but unfortunately, because of Christmas and New Year and the way business works, I can’t slide it in this year.“But you have my word, it’s out of my hands now.

Slipknot guitarist Jim Root has admitted to threatening to leak the band’s long-delayed ‘lost’ album ‘Look Outside Your Window’.It was recorded by frontman Corey Taylor, Sid Wilson, Jim Root and Shawn ‘Clown’ Crahan at the same time as the group were working on 2008’s ‘All Hope Is Gone’. At one point, Taylor tried to blend the two records into one, but the “super experimental, vibey” tracks didn’t gel. The ‘All Hope Is Gone’ bonus track ‘Til We Die’ was recorded during those sessions and is often played over the PA at the end of their shows.The band first confirmed its existence around the time of the release of 2019’s ‘We Are Not Your Kind’ and percussionist Shawn ‘Clown’ Crahan said it would come out at the end of that cycle.

Billy Corgan has shared his views on Metallica’s song ‘Fuel’, and said that it is “awfully close” to one of his songs with The Smashing Pumpkins.The singer, songwriter and guitarist brought up the comparisons while appearing for an interview on the Everblack podcast. Rage Against The Machine bassist Tim Commerford has opened up about his experience of living with prostate cancer, saying he’s “the strongest [he’s] ever been”.The 56-year-old musician confirmed his diagnosis in 2022, saying that he had his prostate removed just before Rage were about to go on tour. “Now I’m in the situation that I’m in, which is, hold your breath for six months,” Commerford said at the time.“It’s not a good one and not one that I’m happy about. I’m just trying to grab ahold of the reins.

Geezer Butler has shared the plans that Ozzy Osbourne has for the final Black Sabbath performance.Rumours about the possibility of a one-off reunion show from the band have been swirling in recent months. Earlier this year, Osbourne shared that he would “jump at the chance” to play a final Black Sabbath show with co-founding drummer Bill Ward.Butler – the former Black Sabbath bassist – also revealed earlier this year that he and Osbourne have “agreed” to play one last show.
