MasterChef's Gregg Wallace surprises autistic son with adorable birthday gift as he celebrates milestone

MasterChef star Gregg Wallace has shared the adorable gift he bought for his son's birthday.The 59 year old shares five year old Sid with his wife, Anne-Marie Sterpini, 37, who he wed in 2016.The TV judge has previously spoken about how Sid has been diagnosed as autistic, and revealed some of the challenges the family faces dealing with the non-verbal little boy. But now, as the Wallace family mark a huge milestone by welcoming a new member to care for - a guinea pig - Gregg took to Instagram to share that he had gifted his son the adorable Peruvian rodent for his birthday. He posted a picture of Anne-Marie crouched next to a spacious two-level indoor hutch with an attached run for their furry friend to exercise in.

John Torode hits back after being mocked for This Morning mishap 'I can't be embarrassed!'
John Torode, 57, famously burned a tea towel live on air as he cooked a traditional English breakfast in 2020 on This Morning.The Celebrity MasterChef host has spoken exclusively to Express.co.uk about why he is not "embarrassed" about what happened and why he thinks he dealt with the situation "quite well".Speaking about the incident, John told Express.co.uk: "It was very good TV, but I mean I suppose it’s something that happens when you work in professional kitchens you have to stay in control and not panic."You can’t lose control, you have to continue with what you’re doing. I mean, I also can’t be embarrassed because it happens."John was recreating a McDonalds McMuffin in April 2020 at his home and was appearing on This Morning via video call.As John began to toast the muffins he failed to notice a tea towel left on the hob had set alight.Hosts Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby frantically tried to warn John but his cries were left unheard as the flames got bigger.Luckily, John finally spotted the fire and dealt with it very professionally, throwing it into the sink as his alarm began to ring in the house.Recalling what happened, John told Express.co.uk: "Again, you need to remember at that time we were in full lockdown."I had some camera equipment, which I'd had to set up myself inside my own home kitchen.

comments yesterday on BBC Radio 2, several Cornish officials have slammed the popular chef. Gordon, 55, has angered the people of Cornwall once more, after previously coming to blows with them over Covid lockdown rules.Following his on-air rant to Vernon Kay yesterday, even the leader of the Cornish nationalist party weighed in on the on-going feud. Gordon owns property on the Cornish coast, and was initially hit with backlash from locals when he chose to isolate with his family there during lockdown. After previously aiming shots at the Cornish, Gordon once again caused controversy when he told Vernon: “Trust me, I absolutely love Cornwall, it's just the Cornish I can't stand.”When quizzed on the remark by Zoe Ball's stand-in host Vernon Kay, Gordon refused to apologise and instead doubled down, adding: “I promise I did mean it.”After hearing of Gordon's comment, the leader of Cornish nationalist party Mebyon Kernow, Dick Cole, said: “I am really disappointed to hear Gordon Ramsay's divisive comments and his lack of respect for the Cornish people.“It is shocking he deems it OK to make such a statement that he'd presumably not make about other national or ethnic groups. “I sincerely hope he will reflect on his words and apologise.”Dick’s comments reflect the government’s recognition that Cornish people are a national minority with their own language, much like the Welsh.Boss of Visit Cornwall Malcolm Bell also hit back at Gordon’s comments.He said: “I absolutely love chefs but can't stand Gordon Ramsay. “Cornwall is a wonderful place with wonderful people.”However, a spokesperson for the chef said: “Gordon has made these tongue-in-cheek comments many, many times. “Always, very clearly, said in good humour and seen that

Dave Myers, 64, recently appeared on  the 11th episode of the podcast Comfort Eating with Grace Dent.The star makes up one half of the famous travelling chef duo, the Hairy Bikers, alongside fellow food enthusiast and friend Si King, 55.MasterChef regular Grace, 48, has hosted plenty of famous guests on her podcast with The Guardian, where they discuss their favourite comfort foods before delving a bit deeper into their personal lives.After sharing some tinned tomatoes on toast, the pair spoke about Dave’s mother and her unexpected pregnancy news.Grace began by asking Dave about his early childhood, where he described his unusual upbringing due to having much older parents, although he didn’t think much of it at the time.“Dave, I understand that you were something of a surprise addition to your parents' lives,” she prompted.In response, Dave exclaimed: “Yes!
