Witch Fever have shared a dark new single today (August 16) called ‘I Saw You Dancing’ – check it out below.The song is another preview of their upcoming debut album, ‘Congregation’, which arrives on October 21 via Sony’s Music For Nations. You can pre-order the album here.The latest single offering is described as a “brutalist slab of IDLES-esque bass, as strings rattle the fretboard and trudge the track into life, whilst claustrophobic vocal lines and intense guitar melodies entwine an oppressive atmosphere throughout the duration,” in a press statement.It adds: “It’s a song about singer Amy Walpole’s experiences in the charismatic church she grew up in, and feeling watched by men as a teenage girl.”Of the track, Amy Walpole says: “This is a song on the album that we’re really excited about as really it’s the first time we’ve written and allowed a song to have space and time to breathe!“We’ve been so used to writing quick thrashy tunes it was fun to experiment and write slower ones for the album.

Pale Waves have opened up about wanting to work with Blink-182’s Travis Barker in a new interview.Speaking to NME for this week’s Big Read, the band said they want to work with the drummer in the future and revealed that he almost worked with them on their latest album, ‘Unwanted’.Barker was set to appear on an ‘Unwanted’ track but couldn’t because of scheduling conflicts.Ciara Doran told NME they “know our paths will cross one day, though, I’m sure of it.”Elsewhere in the Big Read, Pale Waves lead vocalist and guitarist Heather Baron-Gracie opened up about the band’s near-fatal bus crash.Three of the four members of Pale Waves — Doran, Hugo Silvani and Charlie Woods – as well as the band’s crew — were on the bus during the accident which took place in February of 2020. The four-piece had been supporting Halsey on her European arena tour, and were set to play at the Verti Music Hall in Berlin.The vehicle slid into a ditch while travelling between Sweden and Germany.

Jesse Jo Stark has released a new single called ‘Tornado’ – you can listen to it below.The song will feature on the Los Angeles singer-songwriter’s debut album ‘Doomed’, which is due to arrive on September 21 (pre-order/pre-save here).“It’s a story of letting a feeling take you to heaven then bury you six feet in the ground… somewhere in the desert,” Stark explained in a statement about her personal latest offering.‘Tornado’ follows on from the artist’s previous singles ‘Modern Love’ and ‘So Bad’ (feat. The Stones Roses’ Mani and his wife Imelda have announced a charity fundraiser following the latter’s cancer diagnosis.Imelda Mountfield, an events agent, was diagnosed with stage 4 bowel cancer in November 2020. She and her husband are now aiming to raise awareness and funds for The Christie Hospital and The Stockport Charitable Trust.Billed as This Is The One – a nod to the Stone Roses song of the same name – the fundraiser is set to take place at The Kimpton Clocktower Hotel in Manchester on November 18 and will feature a night of “first-class” music and entertainment curated by Mani.A raffle will also take place on the night, as well as an online auction featuring “unique memorabilia”.

Phoebe Bridgers appeared in court yesterday (August 12) in an ongoing defamation lawsuit and the judge in the case appears to be leaning towards throwing the case out.The lawsuit was filed against Bridgers by the producer Chris Nelson last year. It came about following an October 2020 social media post in which Bridgers directed her followers on Instagram to a thread written by her friend Emily Bannon, which Nelson has claimed was defamatory.Nelson subsequently sued the singer for defamation and is currently seeking $3.8million (£2.8million) in damages.
