Oasis, The Stone Roses and more, has been rediscovered.The stage is located in a terraced house in Hull, and has previously hosted performances from artists who would go on to become some of the biggest names in music.It was found as the owners booked a carpet refit, and the original stage was uncovered. It dates back to the ‘50s, and was lost when the club remodelled and extended the venue in 1995.Oasis, Radiohead, Pulp, The Housemartins and The Stone Roses all played on the stage before going on to find global fame, and their sets date back to a time when the venue was home to a social club.Speaking to BBC News, general manager Paul Sarel said it was a “lovely surprise” to find the stage during the carpet refit, and was reminded of how “some of the most famous bands in the world all squeezed onto this tiny space”.“When we posted on social media, we had so many people who said they remembered playing on that stage or seeing some of the most famous bands play on that small area,” he told the outlet.“That carpet’s seen some history…It had lots of holes in it.

Kamala Harris, has showed off his new vinyl record haul – which includes classic LPs by The Stone Roses and New Order.Ahead of yesterday’s Presidential debate between Donald Trump and Kamala Harris, the latter’s husband Doug Emhoff and the Governor of California Gavin Newsom made a surprise visit at the Latchkey record store in Philadelphia.The pair each bought two LPs, showing off their haul in a video posted to Emhoff’s social media. The Stone Roses‘ legendary Spike Island gig has been unearthed.Up to three hours of footage, including show preparations and the soundcheck, shot by a crew member at the time is set to be used for a forthcoming documentary showing the 1990 concert in full for the first time.Other than 10 minutes of footage from the outdoor show featuring on Shane Meadows‘ 2013 documentary The Stone Roses: Made Of Stone, very little has been shown of the concert.NME previously reported that a camera crew from Central Music TV were present, but at the last minute the band instructed them to stand down.Now, Martin Cornell, who was a crew member at the time, has told BBC News that he filmed the whole concert from the scaffolding tower in the middle of the crowd.He said: “I didn’t know that they’d pulled their cameras.
