Rex Orange County has been charged with six counts of sexually assaulting a woman in London.As first reported in The Sun, the musician, whose real name is Alexander James O’Connor, is accused of assaulting the woman on six occasions between June 1 and 2. He allegedly assaulted the woman twice in London’s West End, once in a taxi, and three times at his home in Notting Hill, according to the outlet.He appeared at Southwark Crown Court in London earlier today (October 10), where he pleaded not guilty to all charges.O’Connor is set to provisionally face trial on January 3, 2023.A representative for the musician told Pitchfork: “Alex is shocked by the allegations which he denies and looks forward to clearing his name in court.

Blur drummer Dave Rowntree has shared a new video for his recent single ‘Devil’s Island’.Rowntree shared the track last month along with details of his forthcoming debut solo LP ‘Radio Songs’.Speaking about the clip, which was directed by Guy Gotto, he said: ““I was keen to work with Guy Gotto, who makes gorgeous and interesting video art. He visualised the song as a journey through a bleak but beautiful landscape.“We decided to film along the narrow gauge railway from Hythe to Dungeness, which runs through some of the most desolate but dazzling landscape in the country. Animal Collective have cancelled their forthcoming UK/European tour citing economic difficulties.The band were due to kick off their jaunt in Ireland on November 2 with further dates in Brighton, Bristol, Manchester, Glasgow and London before moving on to Europe.But this evening (October 10) the band issued a lengthy statement confirming that all tour dates have been cancelled and explained their reasons for doing so. Pavement have reflected on their latest reunion, saying they feel like “a tiger let out of the cage” now they’re back on the road.The indie legends initially announced a reunion tour in 2019, which was then delayed due to COVID and eventually kicked off in Los Angeles in May, where they played their first gig in nearly 12 years.After headlining Barcelona’s Primavera Sound the following month, the band are currently on a North American headlining run, and will play a host of UK shows later this month.Speaking to the BBC about the tour, percussionist Bob Nastanovich said: “The tour’s been great so far.
